Freshmen / New Student Orientation

For ALL new students to Gar-Field and their parents:
The Freshmen/New Student Orientation will be held on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm in the Gar-Field Senior High School Auditorium.  Picnic Dinner will be served.  

Save the date because we hope to see you there!




Activity Buses 2010 -2011

Activity buses provide transportation for students who stay after school for academic or extra-curricular activities.

Depart at 4:30 P.M. - 3 Buses on Monday through Thursday for academic, athletic, and/or club activities
Depart at 5:00 P.M. - 3 Buses on Monday through Thursday for atheletes
Depart at 5:00 P.M. - 2 Buses on Monday through Thursday for IB Transfer Students only

There are NO Activity buses on Friday



Edulink InTouch Online Accounts

Edulink InTouch Online Now Available for Emergency Card Updates: 
Parents are able to login and edit Emergency Card information starting on August 17th. 


Gar-Field HS Ranks in the top 6% in the Nation!
Gar-Field High School is in the top 6 percent of schools nationwide, according to Newsweek's annual Challenge Index listing published online. The Challenge Index ranks schools on their efforts to encourage students to take International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, and Advanced Placement tests.  The rating is achieved by dividing the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or other college level tests by the number of seniors who graduated.

New to PWC and interested in participating in the International Baccalaureate Program at GFHS?

New students to Prince William County Public Schools may apply to the IB Program at GFHS.  To learn more about the program and obtain an application, visit www.IBatGF.com

Delay in New Graduation Requirements

Attention parents/guardians of rising ninth grade students:
The Virginia Department of Education has announced that the new graduation requirements will be delayed one year.  Instead of becoming effective in September of 2010, the new graduation requirements will become effective in September of 2011.

School Fusion Accounts

New User Registration for School Fusion Disabled for the Summer:
Parents will not be able to register for a new parent account from June 30 through August 16.  Summer maintenance and preparation for next school year will be performed during that time.
